Product Listing Policy

The rules for listing products and services on KM360, part of the KM360 Terms of Use.

Last updated: 29 October 2026

01Purpose

This Product Listing Policy forms part of the KM360 Terms of Use (clause 2.1). It sets the rules for anyone who lists products or services on KM360, including on Duka.Pembejeo, Mazao.Gulio, MakiSai and CrossBorder, so that buyers can trust what they see.

02Who can list

  • Registered KM360 members only, such as agro-dealers and input suppliers, off-takers and crop buyers, farmer organizations, mechanization service providers and traders.
  • You must hold any business licence or permit the law requires for what you sell.
  • You list in your own name, or on behalf of a farmer organization that has authorized you.

03What every listing must include

  • A clear product or service name and an honest description.
  • The quantity and unit, such as kg, litre, bag, tonne, acre or hour.
  • The price in Tanzanian shillings (TZS), including any taxes, and any delivery or service charges.
  • Where the product is available and when it can be delivered or collected.
  • Real photos of the product, where photos are used.

04Agricultural inputs

  • Seeds, fertilizers and pesticides must be registered or certified by the relevant Tanzanian authority, for example TOSCI for seed, TFRA for fertilizer and TPHPA for pesticides.
  • Show the brand, variety or formulation, pack size, batch number and expiry date.
  • Do not list expired, repackaged without authorization, counterfeit or banned inputs.

05Produce and crops

  • State the crop, variety, grade, quantity and, where relevant, moisture content.
  • Weigh produce on verified scales and sell by the stated weight or measure.
  • Quality claims, such as grade or organic status, must be true and supported by evidence when asked.

06Mechanization and other services

  • Describe the equipment or service, its condition and the area you serve.
  • State the price per acre, hour or job before the booking is confirmed.
  • Operators must be qualified and equipment must be safe to use.

07Cross-border trade

Listings for export or import must comply with Tanzanian and East African Community trade rules, and with any required permits, certificates and export bans.

08Prohibited listings

  • Counterfeit, stolen, expired or unsafe goods.
  • Unregistered or banned seeds, fertilizers, pesticides or veterinary products.
  • Wildlife products and anything else that is illegal to sell in Tanzania.
  • Misleading prices, false quality claims or duplicate listings.
  • Other people's personal data, or photos you do not have the right to use.

09Review and removal

KM360 may review, reject, edit or remove any listing that breaks this policy, the Terms of Use or the law, and may suspend or close the account of a member who repeatedly does so. Where possible, we will tell you why.

10Your responsibility

As clause 7 of the Terms of Use explains, members are responsible for the products and services they list and for the terms of their transactions, including payment, delivery, warranties and returns.
